Disqus Comment Question for Readers. Help!

I implemented the new Disqus comment system last week. The idea was to allow commenters to see threads easier, "join" a community, blah blah blah.

Comments have actually decreased slightly and I've even gotten an email or two from experienced bloggers who can't get their comments up.

Please tell me what your experience has been. I believe there are some good possibilities here and that perhaps I need to do a post on how to use it (although that seems a bit crazy for something that is supposed to be user-friendly). It is a change.

Any thoughts or comments about your experience with Disqus?
