Excellent post, I'm going to add this link to my blog with an additional take on the concepts of how each personality type handle each type of meeting to allow leaders to be better prepared for the variety of reactions.
Thanks

Nice idea, Lynn. Looking forward to your type angle. By the time you're finished maybe we should do an eBook?

Steve,

I hate most meetings. It's almost pathological with me. (Maybe that's why I'm a solo practioner.)

Reading your analysis, and especially the five modes, helps me understand why I've found so many meetings difficult to attend. Your comment about leaders pretending to be in the consult or join mode when they're really somewhere else is right on.

You've given me lots to think about. Again.

Thanks, Chris

Chris,

I confess that the same disdain for constant meetings played a large factor in my own start-up years ago. I'm pleased that the post struck a nerve and hope that it leads to something positive.
