These are wonderful questions, Steve. Just the right amount of words to get others thinking. I would add to your wonderful post by suggesting that the asker stay silent and listen well. If answers aren't immediately forthcoming, the asker has at least helped that individual to think; perhaps the answers will come later.

You know, your suggestion certainly is one that we could all follow whether at work or at home. Silence indeed allows space for thinking and the lack of any perceived judgment of a comment. So let's put it on the list.

I smiled when I read your contribution, as I was just working on a musical piece and realized that I was searching for more notes when the real answer was to leave an extra 4 beats of silence!
